Re: Bluehinter's Free 3-D printable 5" scale figures & vehicles (Got a printer? Print your own customs!)

I assume you're printing at 100% infill? Is there any reason for that? Because cutting it down to even 50% infill reduces the time drastically, and I can't think there's a reason not to, since it saves both time and filament. For the three big pieces, I'm printing at 60% infill (I may go lower on t...

That really does look amazing. Just light years better than my own. I haven't posted much in the past couple of weeks, since I'm still printing the War Machine. Unfortunately, I'm still running into major warping issues. Worse than the first time I printed this design 6 months ago, which is a bit be...

Re: Some Clever Reference's Customs (Current Project: 3D Printable Console Rooms)

I think you're slightly ahead of me on your 80's Console Room design, though we're both using the same source. It looks like your printer has a bigger print area than mine, so you're able to print most of the walls in one go, which I'm totally jealous of. I'm running into issues where even cut down ...

Wow. Every tentacle turned out perfect. That's the wonder of resin printing. I can't wait to see it painted up green. One of the guys on my facebook group is resin printing the TARDIS console and it looks amazing. You can see every individual button. I'm glad I've been putting in the extra detail wo...

Re: Bluehinter's Free 3-D printable 5" scale figures & vehicles (Got a printer? Print your own customs!)

I've started playing around with Peacock Pete's 20th Anniversary Console room set, and unlike the console, there's very little I'm going to have to redesign structurally to make it screen accurate. The angle on the walls/columns need to be tweaked ever so slightly to match the angles/distances of th...

Re: Bluehinter's Free 3-D printable 5" scale figures & vehicles (Got a printer? Print your own customs!)

http://www.strangecult.com/sa/who_toys/WIP133.JPG I think I've got the War Machine redesign finished. It's so large and takes so long to print, I really didn't want to reinvent the wheel and try another untested design for the tape spool mounts, so I just took the one that I used for Alpha Centauri...

Bluehinter's fantastic console, all painted! https://i.imgur.com/36YnF3m.jpg?1 I don't even know what to say. This transcends gorgeous and goes into "how the hell did he even physically manage to do that?!?" territory. Did you actually paint the death zone and diagnostic diagrams onto the...

No problem. I'm only pissed off at printing services who skimp on quality to make a fast(er) buck.

Re: Bluehinter's Free 3-D printable 5" scale figures & vehicles (Got a printer? Print your own customs!)

that tardis console is really nice, the paintwork could maybe be a little less lumpy, that would be my only critique, but I could never do anything even one tenth as good myself, so I think they've done a great job on it. It's not the paintwork that's lumpy, it was the printing service that printed...
