Re: B&M 2019

Haven't heard about that. What issues? From memory the gist is thinner plastic, of which light gets through easily, some of the paint apps feeling tacky, some wiping off very easily. I believe I first learned of it through one of CaptainJimiPie's videos, so he might be able to elaborate. https://ww...

Re: Can we talk Seven20?

Greg Capullo's Gordon was done directly by DC comics (no licensing fee) and advance solliticed (to make sure that they had enough retailer orders to produce it). Doctor Who is a toy licence that fails to attract retailers enough to cover the cost of production of a figure. It's as simple as that. R...

Re: Can we talk Seven20?

A dalek design that they can't reuse for another figure? I strongly doubt it Sigh. And yet we live in a world with Greg Capullo's Commissioner Gordon lovingly rendered in plastic. I am officially rooting for Seven20 to get their s*** together. Greg Capullo's Gordon was done directly by DC comics (n...

We've known they've had plans for the new TARDIS for ages, but now they're not releasing it for a whole year.

Have they even started planning that Dalek?

Also no licensor to worry their property is slumming-it in a crowdfund.

Re: Can we talk Seven20?

Crowdfunding is complex, and even more so when you're doing a licenced product. That is why there's not that many licenced Kickstarters. i'm not even sure that a lot of licensors would allow it, to be honest. Also, asking people to pay for something 6 months or a year in advance will limit the inte...

Re: Can we talk Seven20?

First of all, there were more than 3000 Tardis made for B&M. Someone from B&M mentioned there were 4000 in the warehouse when it was first released, and we know that on top of that, some were announced for the Australian market (even though I'm not sure they got them yet). So I expect number...

Different markets, so no competition, really.
Plus, we're back yet to the crux of the problem: retailers wanting merchandising.
