Re: B&M doctor who sets.

Aww... I know people love the Vespiform, but... Wait, do people love the Vespiform? It's really just a giant wasp, right? I mean, as a toy, there's nothing terribly sci-fi about it besides the size. Am I wrong? Trigger warning: I gave mine away because the parent story and Vespiform were always lam...

Re: The “Questions for The Lurker” thread

Happily contributing to the Sensorites love: They are a GREAT design, and the story's pace is just a symptom of drama conventions at the time. A key part of that story that never ceases to attract me: It, along with "The Keys of Marinus", is one of the 2 points where the Doctor transforms from "Wily...

Re: B&M doctor who sets.

Like I said - take it with a pinch of salt. I'm not sold on it personally but people seem to be believing it because this guy works for B&M and checked the stock server. Nothing at all like a Character Options employee who overhears release info at the vending machine, then. ;) (I feel like there's...

Re: B&M doctor who sets.

While it looks more "in line" with expectations/format there's still some things that alternately impress or bug me - *ALL of that in July? Really? No way. *It's still a VERY outside choice for the First Doctor stories, albeit if you're gonna do one 1st era TARDIS team Ian/Barbara/Susan is the one t...

Re: B&M doctor who sets.

In fairness, the "History of the Daleks" portion of the rumour makes the most sense. We were told the sets might jump around a bit, and putting "Power of the Daleks" & "Day of the Daleks" out avoids 2 very similar looking sets following two sets ("Masterplan" and "The Chase") that contained addition...

Re: B&M doctor who sets.

I would take it with a pinch of salt! No-one has been able to confirm the number codes yet. Hopefully we will know officially in the coming weeks Are these the same ones that included the K-1 in a set? Because in addition to those seeming unlikely, I think someone confirmed those as fake too. THE A...

Re: B&M doctor who sets.

Some Dude on FB has now published what he's claiming to be codes and lists again for this year. I'm not reposting here because he's eitehr a fantasist or someone with no concept of commercial confidentiality. If its a genuine leak then its a shame to be spoiling things. The trouble is some people w...

Re: B&M doctor who sets.

So, while I'd love being proved wrong..... 1. I seem to recall Al poo-pooing the K-1 and other deluxe figures previously, and cost was a factor. And I have to say, deluxe figures like the Krynoid, Axon, and Fendahl not only were sold at a higher price point but they were packed with figures that wer...

Re: B&M doctor who sets.

You could do a "Planet of Fire" fifth, a "Two Doctors" sixth, probably a variant of Tom from Season 17 ("Shada?"), I'm trying to think if there's a Twelve variant as well... "Hell Bent", prior to enjoying some soup. Although, if we're talking about giving Capaldi a waistcoat I can think of some mor...
