Re: B&M doctor who sets.

So... uh, I’ll ask about the elephant in the room. Any chance of seeing those other rumoured two packs that we know nothing about? Much like Manuel at Fawlty, “I know nothing!” Wink wink. I totally rememb-rance those sets and their contents and I’m ecstatic for that 12 as I missed out first time ro...

Re: The “Questions for The Lurker” thread

I have a question! Is the Rani a character you would eventually like to do a figure of and if so, which costume would you choose I'd buy a set of Ranis. Obviously, doing a Mel one would allow for a Mel figure too, so two birds with one stone there. I will wager Kate O'Mara/her estate have a lot to ...

Re: B&M doctor who sets.

My opinions on each set: Fourths Companions - I like that we have a somewhat generic Sarah Jane that can go with Pertwee or Baker, the outfit on Tamm looks a lot better than the white & pink ensemble, but I'm not sure how I feel about Lallas red outfit. I've never watched Horns of Nimon. Is it wort...

Re: B&M doctor who sets.

I'm going to army-build that guy with the mustache. I am totally rewatching "Zygons" to see if someone fits his brief. It'd be a total Al move to make sure he corresponded with someone onscreen. (Plus, "Zygons" is a favourite, so hardly an arm twist there.) Based on the packaged photos, these are g...

Re: B&M doctor who sets.

Hey Al, do you know if the new wave will be available in Australia via the same channels as the last wave? I'm equally curious if US distribution will continue as with the prior wave. The US site isn't updated yet, but for anyone keeping score it's not exactly the best for "current events/communica...

Re: B&M doctor who sets.

FINALLY the "Zygons" 4th Doctor! :D

Might give the Daleks sets a miss as I have all those, but the Sarah/Romanas are pretty great too. The Castrovalva TARDIS set is exactly what i was hoping for as well.

Re: B&M doctor who sets.

I'd much rather have the "nucleus of the swarm" figure... plus 2 infected characters! :D 2020 Virus themed Figure Pack Slaar (The Seeds of Death) The Nucleus of the Swarm Terileptil (The Visitation) I mean, lemons and lemonade. I'd buy it. ;) (And no, I don't seriously expect this, and neither shou...

Re: The “Questions for The Lurker” thread

The Mechanoid easily tops both my lists for "How does this actually exist?" and "WOW, this is better realized than I could've hoped". For me, Its existence counterbalances the lack of other shoo-in type figures we never got, like a 1970 Silurian or "Wheel" Cyberman. I'd welcome a rerelease too. That...

Re: Recommend Some Non-TV Doctor Who

"Ten Little Aliens" may be the best First Doctor book I've ever read. It gets him, Ben, and Polly right and drops them into an 80s Scifi film, basically. Also, any of the 4th Doctor Big Finish novel adaptions ("English Way of Death", "Well Mannered War", and "Romance of Crime") are probably the best...
