Re: Series 12 discussion (SPOILERS)

It’s all about opinion as well. I like a lot of the stories from RTD you mentioned and I’ve seen that people like Orphan 55, so it’s really all about taste and opinion. I worry now because the BBC seems to expect the show to inspire a performance that rivals the Davies era, and....well, final ratin...

I actually really enjoy that in the face of dissent about the show as of late, everyone is being pretty considerate here. Far cry ...

The Dregs should have been haemovores
YES. Talk about a deserved revival with so much potential. It would've required some story changes but that only would've helped.

Re: Series 12 discussion (SPOILERS)

(Sigh) I feel like the show just kicked me in the gut for thinking "Spyfall" was showing the cast was gonna get scripts and stories they deserved without the issues of Series 11.

Nope. Still there.

Genuinely worried for the rest of the year, and worried the "arc" is gonna get ham-fisted hard.

Re: Series 12 discussion (SPOILERS)

I like it. People were saying on GB it sounds like the name of a fair stall or magicians act or something cheesy like that. What people forget is sometimes doctor who is meant to be a light-hearted show and not every episode is meant to be serious. And plus it’s just a title. Don’t judge a book by ...

Re: Series 12 discussion (SPOILERS)

"When Big Finish style titles infect the TV series proper."

Seriously, I feel like Briggs saw the Judoon title, threw a script against the wall, and mumbled something about getting the Hath in. ;)

Re: Series 12 discussion (SPOILERS)

Oh also - As long as it isn’t something like “Time Lords are actually just future humans”. We agree this is terrible. Or "People on earth are similar to Time Lords because (STUPID REASON/TWIST) and that's also why you love them, Doctor!" Either reminds me of the "The Doctor is actually God" twist th...

Re: Series 12 discussion (SPOILERS)

It's equally infuriating that it immediately gets sidelined. (For now/So far.) It's making me remember first go of the X-files (for those less familiar), what was a "monster of the week with overarching ideas" suddenly had recurring arcs or cliffhangers that went as far as they could. It didn't bug ...

Re: Series 12 discussion (SPOILERS)

I'm wondering just what secret could be so horrific that it sent the Master over the edge. I mean, "Rassilon didn't invent time travel" ain't gonna cut it. :) Also unacceptable/"it's a stretch" "It drove me mad!" Solutions: 1. "We all had prior lives!" Er, great. You were manipulated into being a b...
