Love these, especially the paintjob on the Recon Dalek, I hope the official one looks that good in hand.
Thanks!

The Seventh Doctor in Duffle Coat (The Curse Of Fenric)

To kick off my The Seventh Doctors mini-series I thought I'd do one many people have wanted to see, and was actually prototyped by never made! The Seventh Doctor in his duffle coat from the Curse Of Fenric

Overall it's just a standard Seventh Doctor, but with one of my own serious hatted head sculpts painted up.

Then I simply used some simple paper to extend the coat and then just sculpted over the top with milliput to make the base coat. Then after that was dry I added the lapels, pockets and hood, letting that dry and then adding the toggles, loops and tabs on the sleeve cuffs & hood.

Then it was just a case of repainting it, overall not a difficult one to do but it does require time, patience & practice due to the amount of sculpting that needs doing

Personally I use a mixture of acrylics and then sharpies & spray paints for metallic colours, they're not to everyones style but I find them easiest to work with

Well I think it's safe to say most of us didn't see that one coming! So after a quick raid though my parts bin here's what I've cobbled together for The Master in Series 12

Overall it's a Tenth Doctor Tux body, I'm hoping he gets a different outfit in the next episode as I'm not a fan of the idea of this being his standard look, but if he does then I'll update it accordingly with a new body
The head & hands are from a series 3 Captain Jack figure repainted, his hair parting is on the wrong side but it was the best head I had spare and I think it works very well, the head sculpt is "generic" enough for a darker skin tone to disguise it well

That’s come out nicely. It’s surprising how easily the head’s disguised. I was just asking as I always use Citadel acrylic paints for my customs and wondered if there was a better way

Thanks, it's a very generic looking head so I think it disguises itself very easily, as for paints I don't really go for specific brands, I tend just to buy whatever is cheapest or closest to the colour I want

. The torso, collar & arms are from a Sixth Doctor
. The legs are a from a Traken/Castrovalva 4th/5th Doctor bit with some clockwork droid legs fixed in place & the trousers extended with milliput
. The coat is a from a Dr Constantine figure but with added pockets
. The waistcoat is entirely sculpted
. The head is the same Captain Jack one I used for my Tuxedo figure
