He gets chained up, but there's a reflective surface in the same room as him. A green light shines on him and we hear the Siren singing. Then the scene ends just before he gets taken. It's not much but at least it offers an explanation as to what happened, unless you want to call the fact we don't actually see it happening a plot hole.

Well, if we didn't have the next time trailer then we wouldn't have these problems as often. They were intiailly there because the episodes were considerably unrunning, now they nromally end up being an hour long each.

Thank goodness Steven Moffat is slowly phasing them out. He believes that if the cliffhanger is good enough there is no need to have a "next time" bit and the cliffhanger will be enough to carry on the excitemnt for next week.

Never had a 'next time' from 1963 to 1989 and it worked fine.

Well, if by adding them at the end of the end-credits is his way of phasing them out, he's not doing so well. :P

Och he's a muppet, we all know he is... just some of us are less inclined to admit it lol

Seriously though, I am becoming less and less interested. I think the Dalek story is going to be a mess and I really couldn't care less if Amy and Rory leave. :(

There's no 'if' in this... They ARE leaving. ;)

But yeah, I don't have any hopes for 11.3.1.

It's a step in the right direction. But look at recent episodes, many of them have nothing. The Almost People, A Good Man Goes to War and The Wedding of River Song all have nothing. Normally, they have only one episode a year with nothing (the final one) but it has slowly increased, okay it was two episodes and then three, but if that continues then eventually there will be none (although it will, at the current rate, be 2021 probablly).

As TV21 said, they never used to have them. If the episode was important enough they would have an advert, but between programmes, not during them.

Strictly, the AGMGTW trailer was released online, but I'll not count that. :P

Exactly, but it was later screened throughout the week between shows.
