I do think the ID badge sounds more plausable. I mean, If Rory gets sent back in time by a weeping angel, then it would make sense that his ID card would have an early date on it because he would of had to train to be a Doctor/nurse in the 90's. But then wouldn't he remember the Weeping angels and being sent back in time etc? Unless the crack in time has something to do with it?...Anyway, i'm just rambling on now.

He's in an infinite time loop. At one point he becomes six or something just in tiem fro Amy arriving and lives his life over and over again.

Perhaps explaining why he used the past tense in The God Complex. He's lived his life so many times over and over again, but why would anyone do that? Perhaps something happened to someone he cared about and it was the only option he had to be with her again.

Perhaps two entriely different things. There's something that relates to both of them as well if there is something that relates only to Amy.
