Gek2Win's Grotesque Display of the TCE'd corpses of Doctor Who Characters

Post by Gek2Win »

Yes. I know I said I'd wait until I got the B&M sets, but I realized that I will have to entirely redo my display, so I'll do the majority now and do an update later.

I can't actually post the images yet, but they're coming later today, including the probably almost unique signed Foretold figure.

Also I got another creative subject. Hope you like it.

Right. So, I may not have a display case, but I do have a bookcase. So, this is not my entire collection, but it is the majority. There are three shelves I use.

The Doctor/TARDIS/Master/Companion shelf
Here is, unsurprisingly, my Doctors, Masters, TARDII, and Companions.

Image

Thanks for the inspiration Sparrow! :D

Image

I'm missing a few masters.

Image

Same with the companions.

I'm actually also missing the War Doctor.

Next is the...
Monsters shelf

Image

Image

They're ordered in chronological order. I honestly don't know where I'm going to put the Sontarans and SN Cyberbois.

Finally, the...
Dalek (and regenerated/pre-regenerated Doctors) shelf

Image

That's not even all my Daleks. I have quite a few stored away.

Image

Pretty nice. I also have the Keeper of Traken 4, and the differences between it and the regen 5 are odd. Like regen 5 is lighter and shinier...

Did I say finally? Here it is!

Signed Foretold!

Image

Yeah. Probably worth a fiver, but I like it.

I do have other figures, but not on display, including quite a lot of 3.75. Honourable mentions: Variant Bracewell, Ganger 11, and a pair of Sontaran Commander Skorrs.

And there we go. All finished. Not much, but it's mine.

Very nice Gek, you've got some great figures. I'm particularly jealous of your Sutekh, Stealth Cyberboi and Pertwee TARDIS.

Totally irrelevant but the collection of Star Wars novels also brings great joy to me.

Loving the figures, and the title, you have a way with words  and your book collection! You have excellent taste, was overjoyed when they made a 6 inch figure of Jaina Solo recently, though, it did take sabotage  Very jealous of a great number of those figures, the Master's TARDII, the Pyramids figures (not to repeat Dan but, they are awesome) and a very clever use of the B&M Matt with the aged head!

Thank you for the kind words. I do realise that out of context Scarman looks a little lost, and the simple reason he is where he is is because I realised that I missed him by the time I reached Series 3 on the monsters shelf

I am very glad I got the priory set at the time of release. I looked on eBay and well... I understand why you're jealous. It really puts stuff like K-1 in perspective: I would love to own it, but it's way out of my field, but I never thought about the secondary market on the priory set :o

The price is truly crazy, I passed on it years ago for £25, and the Jackal Suketh and mummies for £10..what an idiot. You can get the priory on Amazon for £45, which isn't bad, I guess.., B&M's ruined me though  it's still a lot for it. They were thinking about a K1 re-release for B&M, just throwing the idea about along with some of the other deluxe figures but obviously decided on other things..., we can always hope....

So, I decided to do a quick inventory of the 5' figures I don't have on display, and my oh my did the results surprise me. We've got:

Gel Guard
Mutant reveal Dalek
Cult of Skaro Daleks X2
Damaged Dalek Thay
Season 7 Brig
Keeper of Traken 4
B&M Pyramids 4
Blue suit coated 10
Series 5 red bow tie 11 X2
Ganger 11
My custom black shirt 9
Variant Bracewell
Series 5 Amy
Brown suit 10 (missing a hand)
RC K9
Space Suit 10 (from the sanctuary base set)
Fez 11
Talons 4
Time monster 3
Season 22 6
Pandorica Cyberboi (again missing a hand)
Commander Skorr X2
Pandorica
Sanctuary base lift
Junk TARDIS
9/10 TARDIS playset

Wow. I wasn't expecting that. I also got everything I have complete, except for my Cyber Controller & throne, so they all came with their accessories. That's quite a lot.
