These are good, I've long struggled to achieve significant facial recognition with my hand drawn art, so much so that sometimes I think I'm never going to manage it, actually I think my peak drawing skill days are behind me, 2015/16 was when I hit what I consider my best patch. I really need to get back to that point.

I'll probably never show my drawings, although I wish I would, but I've always been super critical of my work and tend to think it's all awful. I have a very difficult relationship with art for various reasons, a lot of it down to GCSE art and my 'teacher', before then I loved it and had sooo much confidence in my ability. Ah well.

Back on topic, Is Matt tickling John Hurt's beard in the 50th image?
If that's the interpretation you want to take then he can absolutely be tickling Hurt's beard. I was going for "telling him he didn't aprove of his life choices as a doctor", back when I drew this the impression I'd taken from Name of the Doctor was that 11 didn't like the war doctor, I didn't expect the friendlier fun dynamic we ended up with. Fun factoid, the original doodle didn't have the 11th or war doctors in it, it had a tenth planet cyberman, I drew that during a boring class, then drew a hartnell and a tardis to go with it, then Jon and Tom, since they were my favourites, then just gradually added the rest around, and by the time I was nearly done drawing them in I was like "I should redo this as a proper picture, instead of a mess on lined paper that's also full of other notes. I have the doodle version, so I'll pop that up too. It's never too late to get back into drawing, I'm always improving. I might show you my first ever doctor who picture later, to give an example of just how awful my drawing skills used to be.

I've found my "the eleven doctors" picture, so that will go up once I scan it, but for now, here is the doodle that led to the 50th anniversary picture, it's morsly all there, just a bit rougher, a cyberman instead of 11/war, and none of the stuff up the top. Also different outfit for tom (doesn't really show so much since it was never coloured) and a different jacket style for Jon. Don't know why I did his tie like that on the redo, I guess I drew it as Carnival then changed my mind at the last minute for dinosaurs. SInce lineart was in pen back then there wasn't much I could do to change it.

Oh yeah I can see the whole lecturing thing now. Still going to pretend he's tickling his beard though.

I'm trying to get back into it, I've already fallen and got back in and that lead to my best drawings, so that bodes well I guess. I just need to get the confidence back.

Oh, go on, show us some pics! (Won’t be nasty, I promise :P )
Maybe one day, if there's enough interest and I feel brave enough.

Colin just floated behind him and whispered "I'm naked" as he passed, so Troughton is imagining that image.

So, before we delve really far back, here is my eleven doctors drawing. This was on the inside of my door for 5 years when I was at uni, I drew it around the time of my 18th birthday, I honestly still feel quite pleased with it, the positioning of everyone allows them to all be scaled quite big, which suits my fondness for a nice big chunky drawing, that's probably the best Tennant I ever drew, this was about the point where I figured out how to draw Troughton, on the whole it's not bad. Not amazing, but ok. Although this is one of the worst Colins I've ever drawn. Why is his nose so long? My memory was that I slipped when I drew over the pencil sketch in pen, but I have work in progress photos that I took for some reason, and his nose is like that on the pencil version. So that's awful.

I just had a memory of another old doctor who drawing, from 2006, which I sent in to blue peter to try and get a badge (I didn't, because I didn't give enough details, got it on my next go) and I made a copy of that drawing. In face I think I gave them the copy and kept the original. No idea where it is, but if I find it I'll share.

Ha! 11’s great! And Colin could be worse- at least he has clothes! 🤢

That's the worst part of him, at least if he was tastefully nude it would have a little more artistic merit. Mccoy's elbow is in just the right place to keep things clean.
