On one hand it cheapens her death which was fitting and tragic but on the other hand it's kind of a punch the air moment for me because I love Harriet.

Anyone who watches the commentaries will know about Harriet's trapdoor anyway and this point. In all seriousness, I still think that regardless of what RTD claims is canon, it's not officially unless it either appears in the show or some tie-In media that isn't a book of poems. If he wrote a legitimate story for bbc books or even just a short story then I'd accept if there was a throwaway line about her survival or something, but I'm not taking her survival as gospel just because RTD says so.

And people have a go at Moffat for wimping out on killing characters, it's like Donna not dying in the end of time when she remembered the doctor. Plus her death set off that montage of dead new who characters.
