Any Bat related books you'd recommend? So far I'm considering Year One, Hush, Under the Red Hood and The Killing Joke.
Anything else I should check out?

The whole Contagion/Cataclysm/ No Man's Land trilogy for Batman. They were story arcs that went on for a while, couple of years.
Contagion- Using a bacteria akin to Ebola designed by Poison Ivy, Ras Al Ghul releases it on Gotham, thus killing half the population...
Cataclysm- Having just picked up the pieces of being an infection zone... Gotham is hit by the unthinkable... a 9.8 Earthquake
No Man's Land- Having been decimated and ruined, the United States government declares Gotham City a No Man's Land. No longer part of US sovereignty the villains begin taking up sections of the city as their own as Batman and the Bat-Family stay behind to maintain peace and prosperity. This story gives us the first appearance of the 90s Batgirl who starts off being Huntress and ends up as Cassandra Cain. As Bruce Wayne lobbys in the UN Senate, Lex Luthor Makes a bid to but what remains of Gotham.

Also, No Man's Land is the first appearance of Harley Quinn in comic book form.

Thanks Van, sounds awesome. I'll add those to the others and pick them up off Amazon.
Oh and how had the Nu 52 "Batman The Dark Knight" been? Just I'm considering picking it up with Nightwing and B&R.

I use to think Dark Knight was the better of all the Batbooks, but that fake Arkham City Bane really did me in... and this whole the Joker is retired junk is for the birds. So it went from good to junk over night.

Nightwing is no better, granted I never cared for his own series anyway, Dick is just better used in the Titans as their leader than on his own. Especially now that he has nothing left to prove, his whole motivation is shot. Batman and Robin is sad... the first issue Batman goes to the sewer under where his parents were shot with Robin. He tells him that he has decided to let go of his anger... and he takes the Zorro Pamphlet he's kept all these years and folds it into a small origami sail boat and sails it down the sewer.

WTF?

Take away batman's pain and anguish... have him move on? He stops being Batman!

ARRRGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Hmm sounds like a cop out to me and the more I get to know the true Bat verse the more I agree with you about Bane; he fits in the Arkham verse but his appearance in the comics should be more in line with what he looked like in Knightfall.
Oh and by they way why is Cataclysm harder to find than the other two in the trilogy? It's just that the price rockets on Amazon, so should I look elsewhere?
