Great pictures Van, the yellow thing the Lanterns are beating the shiz out of is a Paralax right?

I also read B&R on holiday and actually really enjoyed it. I felt the whole 'Batman moving on from his parents death' was extremely rushed and he was seemingly doing it just because the alley was being demolished rather than moving on for the sake of his son which is an angle I would have preferred, but hey it's forgotten after the first 4 pages so we'll just have to deal with it. Overall it's not as good as Batman but definitely trumps Tec although I'm looking forward to how that turns out with the new creative team.

He can't move on... once he does he stops being Batman. Holding onto that anger is what protects him... as made apparent when Mr. Simian tried to brainwash him during Final Crisis. And I quote "How can one man take so much rage... and turn it into a weapon?"

Yeah I agree with you he shouldn't, it's just different for the sake of being different and although I wished they'd gone with the father/ son angle I still would have hated it had they done that but at least it would have fit better with what they were going with (Just to iterate: Still garbage). We've got "Death of the Family" coming up in a couple months so maybe something happens that makes him revert back but I doubt it.
Speaking of DotF what do you think of that? I'm really liking what I've seen from the covers and it's left me intrigued. If you look Joker has got his face strapped on kind of like something from SAW so I'm kind of interested to see how far they go with that, wonder if they'll give him a similar setup to “The Killing Joke” where he's got that funhouse with all the traps.
However it turns out I hope it has lasting consequence this time unlike Dr Arkham who can’t decide if he’s Black Mask or just plain old Dr Arkham in the new continuity.
