Should I get the SDCC 11th Doctor and dalek set signed?

Postby Last0fthetimel0rds » Mon Nov 07, 2011 11:52 pm

I am going to Dimensions on Saturday and Sunday and I want to get Ian McNeice to sign something. I already have his autograph twice (One is personalised) but they are just pictures. I wanted to take a boxed figure, but I don't have a boxed Ironside. I do have the boxed 11th Doctor and Dalek Scientist set but I don't know whether to get Ian to sign it as it is from the same episode but he never met the paradigm daleks (then again I saw a Captain Jack figure signed by David Tennant).... I don't know what else to take? So should I get it signed by him?

Well, a) he will sign it, there's no doubt about that. :) b) Yes, I think you should take that. Unless you get him to sign the Ironside Dalek itself, which would be quite an accomplishment... ;)

I would rather he signed a boxed figure, thanks for the advice :)

I always thought he would be a kind of snide, sarcastic character in real life, but maybe he wasn't like that with you. :)

Just seemed angry when I asked him for an autograph, just signed it and then walked off. Just grunted then went, they aint like they are on TV in real life!

Oh... That's a terrible way to treat your fans! He should be very considerate that he had an avid fan in his midst, but discarded you so easily. Not good.

Yes! If you can have it signed I'd do it seeing that it's at a convention but always be aware that some actors might be difficult especially outside their comfort zone of the film set if you see one and ask for an autograph. You might catch them on an off day or if they've had a bad day in the office which will change the way you think of them, I have had previous experience! ;)

To care is to have a social conscience, to look after the weak, the less fortunate in "society" where others deny it even exists!
