Aster's 2017 Film Ratings

Spilt - 6/10
T2 Trainspotting - 9/10
The Lego Batman Movie - 7/10
John Wick Chapter 2 - 8/10
Logan - 9/10
Moonlight - 6/10

Logan was just wow, so emotional and a brilliant send off to the legends that are Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart, thanks for being there <3
Moonlight was alright, will reserve comparing it to the other Best Picture nominees til I see them.

Kong: Skull Island - 7/10

Kong was awesome in this film, the human characters were okay, with John C. Reilly's character being the best out of them all. Recommend it as a nice film to pass some time. Don't expect a lot of character stuff.

Realised I've only really been posting cinema viewings in here. Anyway, I watched The Shining, Jaws 2 and Room this past week. All rewatches. The Shining and Room are both 5/5 - the less said about Jaws 2 the better.

Kidulthood this morning. It was good, but quite a bit of it feels dated now.

LOVED POWER RANGERS ! Major nostalgia, and they brought it to modern day with a more mature tone beautifully. You probably won't think much of it if you weren't a fan growing up, but I thought it was great set up and hope for 2 more films, I don't want a long running franchise with this one. Although an SPD inspired spinoff would be very welcome ...

Beauty and the beast 2017
Very similar to the original but lacks the charm
Doesn't really do much new
The cgi wasn't great but could be worse
Luke evens and josh gad were entertaining
Emma Watson... :? Passable acting though not fond of her singing
4.5/10

Not seen one recently but will probably be dragged to Power Rangers tomorrow-not looking forward to it, but I'll post a mini-review tomorrow anyways.

God, I am so behind on everything. All I can say is recently I've seen Beauty and the Beast which is completely outstanding, Get Out which is really great and I've just finished Nerve, which was entertaining but infuriating
