I think what you meant to say was my Fifth Doctor has no celery and my Seventh Doctor has no umbrella. The arm has fallen off in my Cyberman (revenge?) set. ;)

I didn't know he was not around to defend himself.
And why would it matter if I did know he wasn't?

Anyway, if I got a bad quality figure set, I would be really unhappy but I would make do.

He has left over comments made.
I'm gone! How tragic. It's like i'm here but asleep, only i'm not, i'm gone. Well, i might pop back when bored. If you need me though, or want me you can find me at www.ImWithGeek.com

I have been told that I am too fussy cause i want that to be aligned. I know Fp do not see it as a fault.

I just got my Genesis set, my neck bins were not aligned as well, I called WhoNA and they said that I got the best set out of them all,,, they all had at least one of the following problems - eye stalks warped down, non-aligned neck bins or over spray of paint. It was the worst they have seen and feel the quality is becoming consistently lower each time.

Ogron, I investigated how the Daleks are put together. They are very simply and well engineered.

Unscrew the bottom 4 screws and then undo the single screw holding on the dome. The rings then pop off fairly easily, you might need to lever them off with something blunt.

The rings are sized sequentially and have little alignment lugs. They should be very easy to reseat. Should only take a few minutes.
I've just about had enough of you. Go that way. You'll be malfunctioning within a day, you near-sighted scrap pile. And don't let me catch you following me begging for help because you won't get it.

Thanks I spent 20 mins tugging at a loose gold Dalek that I had to look into this, the rings have little nubs that fit into a groove, so you cannot rotate the ring, the only thing I could think of doing is taking a craft knife and cutting the the nubs off so I can rotate the rings into the correct position.... however I'm not that adventurous. Thanks for the advice, maybe I will try it IF I get any more that are more noticeable.

They do, you have to lift the rings off. They are all injection molded and do align but may have got pulled out of shape or jammed in wrongly. Warm the rubbery 'slat' rings in hot water then take them out and allow to cool. Then replace them. I think they are either upside down or just jammed in the wrong alignment slots. Frankly they are so well designed that it should be virtually impossible to get wrong.

Ha ha, very funny.

The thing is we have hundreds of daleks around the office (well dozens) I went round looking for misaligned neck bins and couldn't find a single one.
