Yep, you're indeed correct with UT Mr Nim. ;) Character they just distribute whilst they (UT) make the final product decisions. I'm always getting this wrong!

To care is to have a social conscience, to look after the weak, the less fortunate in "society" where others deny it even exists!

No, UT and FP can make suggestions, and can ultimately decide what they would like made for them to sell as retailers, but CO have full control.

Correct.

Also the frequency and order of releases may sometimes 'bunch up' or swap around due to other manufacturing circumstances or factory capacity.

As the saying goes, the best laid plans...

Some of the many irrevocable reasons not to announce items before they are ready.

So technically, if CO do not like it, if FP or UT make an early announcement, they could be "disciplined" (to an extent) for it?

That really isn't the way it works. UT and FP usually receive their images from CO. and by that time everything is locked down and signed off.

Ah, right. :) And what of 'scificollector' obtaining the images early?

They leaked the 5th Doctor & Master's TARDIS images early (of it in packaging, and official images).

Wasn't that Ikon?

That was a miscommunication. Not a huge deal but they should have realised that the pic was not correct.

Oh, Ikon - they're just as bad. :P

Yeah, it's disappointing when sets are announced early (whether it be accident or not).
