Let's keep the politics off the forum, this is meant to be escapist and I'd rather not drag this place down with political nonsense.

Nonsense?
Really?
I'm watching armed domestic terrorists storm the capitol building, many of them neo-nazis, some of them waving confederate flags.
I understand the value of keeping politics off the board, but don't you dare call it nonsense.

This is an escapist outlet to discuss a shared hobby and pop culture. If you want political chat keep it to PMs.
I'm not having political divisiveness creep in which is why I'm so strict on the issue, it's all or nothing and I'm telling you on this board it's nothing.

Yep. Like I said, I get the value of that. I won't mention it again.
But please don't be dismissive on something this crazy.

Off the forum I won't be.
The value of a place like this especially during lockdown is just leaving leaving real world trials and tribulations at the door and discussing shared interests with people who share those interests. Politics today are so divisive and it's bad enough that we find them spliced into our entertainment and spewed at us every waking hour, everyone is sick of it which is why in this particular corner of the internet it's a no go topic.

Yeah... I like toys. I come here to talk about toys. If a "frown" thread hadn't existed, it wouldn't have come up.

Re: The “What’s Made You FROWN Today?” Thread
Think we've got our "moderator bad take" of the year there, I think there is a line between being concerned while watching domestic terrorism and getting political, I'd hope any sane person on either side of the political divide would look at that and think gosh what a nightmarish scenario. This thread is for venting what's upsetting people, and all the stubbed toes and long queues at the post office are kind of trivial when there's something like that going on.

I don't come on here to clear up 'F TRUMP' comments.
You have PMs and other outlets, if you wish to have such a discord use them.

When a moderator continues to delete your posts that don't break the rules

Re: The “What’s Made You FROWN Today?” Thread
You've been asked politely to keep political chat off the board.
In the past it's always caused problems and in this instance the first few posts discussing it contained language that is not suitable for this forum. Clearly it's a hot button issue right now and is likely to spark something in people that causes angry posts and creates a bad atmosphere.
This isn't a new thing either as some of you will remember we removed brexit posts as well.
