To be fair to CO, they switched to the smaller scale precisely because they couldn't find retailer interest in the larger scale. It was at a moment when action figures were in kind of slump industry-wide. Stores weren't ordering many of the larger scale ones.

Still, you can't help but think there's a better way to leverage the Who line than they've been doing. Somewhere between the nerd-stores and the big chains, there must be some kind of spot where the money is there.

Retailers stopped ordering cause people stopped buying, and people stopped buying because the figures were crap.

::sigh::

Not strictly true.

Retailers stopped buying because there was a "Specials Year" and the show wasn't on the air, and because Woolworth's -- the biggest, most reliable carrier of the 5" figures -- filed for bankruptcy.

The infamous Series 6 "crap wave" was crap because they didn't have enough pre-orders to finance making it good.

This scale issue has been an issue all along it seems. The 11th Doctor should be around the same height as Tennant, not taller. Tennant is taller than smith in real life.

I think the issue is more that the Tennant figures have always been too small compared to everything else rather than Eleven being too big.

Tennant should be around the same height as T. Baker and Pertwee but he's far too small. Colin is far too small as well.

1- 1.73
2- 1.73
3- 1.89
4- 1.91
5- 1.85
6- 1.83
7- 1.68
8- 1.74
War- 1.75
9- 1.83
10- 1.85
11- 1.82
12- 1.83

So...5,6,9,10,11&12 are all around the same size....

I love how height with 10-12 should go 10,12,11, but it goes 12,11,10 on the figures......
