I guess so, if it makes someone happy it's worth it.
I wish it had better painted detail though.

And by that do you mean any painted detail? :)

Yeah, you're absolutely right on that one. If I picked it up I'd end up hand painting it myself.

Still, it would make a nice centerpiece for a display.

This might actually work quite well if you raise the figure from the floor. Of course it's never going to be a perfect fit but it's something.

Looks like this is more in scale with 8" figures.

In the latest DWM special, it says that there are currently no plans to release any more Classic figures. Bugger!

Hopefully things might change in the future, maybe FP might decide to order some more at some point.

Was the last "new" classic figure silver nemesis Ace in 2014? The rest since has just been re-releases or that repainted third doctor set hasn't it?

Yeah unless you count the US general release of the regenerated Fourth Doctor.

Well that horribly sucks. So many classic companions and enemies we have yet to get but so many random newer characters released

They still could make a Two Doctors Peri if they wanted. I'm not sure how many Ace or Leela variants they could do. I honestly don't know why we never got Troughton in the fur coat, Two Doctors Colin, regeneration McCoy, movie McCoy. They skipped so much.
