Always been a bit 'Meh' about Madame de Pompadour, but I LOVE the Clocwork Droids.

I think Moffat needs to move on and stop bringing back older new series characters. He brought back river who I dislike as a character.

Well hang on, He has only braught back 1 new series character so far which was River. Why does he need to stop if he has only braught back 1 character from previous series?

Its just the fact he is mad about river. He can't let her go. He might be the same with Madame de pompadour and she will be on our screens for the next 5 years.

I wouldn't at all say hes mad about the character. He had a story for River which he wanted to tell. He's done that now, well, most of it in what I think a fantastic way.

I just don't like the character of river. But I will say its the only clever thing he has come up with.

Yeh she could play Someone related to Madame de Pompadour like Eve Myles playing Gwyneth and Gwen

But again, she's a real life person so they couldn't really do it.

The most likely option will be that if she does reappear then she will be playing a character with no connection to Madame de Pompadour at all (except from sharing the actress). It's happened countless times before from Karen Gillan to Ian Marter, even Colin Baker was in the show before playing the Doctor (although you could argue he was the only one who played a "significant" character before getting a bigger role).

Significant! He played an utter git! credit to him as an actor, he really dragged me into the whole narcissism thing.
