It's easy to see a difference with facial hair and besides... everyone with facial hair who shouldn't have it or without or with en eyepatch is evil on alternate worlds

Oh I am a huge fan of the "Mirror Universe" concept! I believe there's nothing more amazing than seeing the characters who you know and love in an entirely different light!! I am looking forward to watching Inferno because it will be.. wow.. about the 4th or 5th thing I've watched that employs the "mirror" universe concept!!

Of course as far as making it completely awesome, I really can't say how well done Trek is when they experiment with the alternate, 'evil' counterparts to the Enterprise Crew! My favorite however is the comic adaptation of Earth-3. You have all the heroes as supervillians and you have some of the villians as heroes! It's truly too awesome for words. I even enjoyed the Smallville version!

If I was half the writer Van was, I would write so many stories about the Mirror Universe. And I would absolutely LOVE to delve more into that with Doctor Who!!

Of my collection of Playmates Star Trek figures (the ones from the 1990s, not the recent movie), one of my favourites is the Mirror Universe 'beardy' Spock, because a) it's a great figure, and b) it was a brilliant episode. Shame it was the only Mirror Universe figure they did. Oh well, suppose I'll have to track down all the AA/DST Mirror figures instead.

Going back to DW, Inferno is a pretty good take on the Mirror Universe concept. Brigade Leader Lethbridge Stewart is particularly good, as it's easy to see how the Brigadier we all know and love could have become the nasty version we meet in the alternate universe.

I've been looking lately at getting more from that range; most of them can be had fairly cheaply online, but because I've got MU Spock I didn't look for him. Don't know how rare he is, but I'm not selling mine!

Just had a look on Memory Alpha's list of Playmates figures: http://memory-alpha.org/wiki/Playmates_Toys
They don't have one listed, but I don't know how definitive the list is. IIRC the figure of Kirk in green wraparound Captain's tunic (my favourite Kirk figure) came with a card, could that be the one you're thinking of?
