Dalek Master Plan: The Comic Adaptation.

I'm a long time DW fan and one of my favorite classic adventures was TDMP and I'd long wanted to do a comic adaptation of said story. I'd even pitch an advance "Mission to the Unkonwn" story to precede the main story, etc. So anyway, talking to a retailer friend of mine, he reminded me that IDW had the license for Doctor Who comics here in the states.

So I worked up a pitch--which they've since rejected---so I figured I'd at least share it with other Who fans. this is basically the first 6 pages of Episode one of "The Nightmare Begins" plus a bxw line up of how I'd redesign some of the aliens on the galactic council. enjoy!

Crikey! I'd keep pitching it. I've watched restoration videos and animated videos of old stories but they never quite work for me. Comic book adaptations would be my preferred way of getting into those stories.

Thanks! Myself, I saw a lot of potential in doing versions of this story, Web of Fear, Marco Polo, etc. but IDW was not interested. Others have speculated that maybe IDW can't do Daleks for a story like this because of a rights issue but I don't know. I can only go by what they said. Anyone who wants to see this project through, I'd say contact IDW.
