What does Moffat want to do? He wants to cut down the amount of episodes so he can make his precious Sherlock. After splitting Doctor Who series in two so it's only around for a few weeks at a time. Talk about trying to reduce interest among casual TV viewers.

All his episodes have to be so dark, he ruins his own previous stories (Blink was brilliant but after the garbage angel two parter last year it can't be rated as highly now). And there's loads of Moffat fanboys who think he can't go wrong even when he does what RTD was critisized for.

No, he will always be better than RTD. He is completely different to RTD. Flesh and Stone and The Time of Angels was better than Blink.

That's garbage. You're blinded by Moffat's episodes. Every casual viewer and a lot of fans went off in series 5. You can't say it was better than series 1, 2, 3, 4 and the specials. I think 4-5 episodes from Series 5 are actually very good, rest are average. (Rory dying ALL the time, rubbish Silurians, rubbish Daleks, River Song/Weeping angel garbage (AKA Moffat blowing his own horn in thsoe episodes).

I THINK... meaning YOUR opinion.

Don't threaten me like that. SM is better, IMO. Don't say I'm being blinded. You're trying to blind me. So stop.

Well, to say SM is better than RTD, is the truth, but...

Lighten up, pal, eh?

GD, just stop arguing with EVERYONE.

Thay's entitled to an opinion. I partially agree. I enjoyed Series 5 a lot, but Series 6 Part 1's been so confusing it's unbelievable. Moffat's a great writer and plans things nicely, but I liked the light, bouncy episodes that RTD did, and they were straightforward enough. Neither Series 5 nor 6P1 have been as good as Series 3 or 4 IMO, but Series 5 does come close.

Love em both, But if i was voting just on the episodes that they have writen then RTD woud easy win, but i'm voting for SM because in his era (S5 and S6) there havent been as many bad space filler episodes. RTD just let uncool slide by, like love and monsters ect.
I'm gone! How tragic. It's like i'm here but asleep, only i'm not, i'm gone. Well, i might pop back when bored. If you need me though, or want me you can find me at www.ImWithGeek.com

All of my favorite RTD era stories are written by Moffat.

Moffat's episodes may be good, but RTD's era is better, IMO. Doesn't change formats, doesn't seem desperate to make his mark on the show. Moffat's esperate to leave his mark on it a lot of people reckon.

RTD, didn't seem like he wanted to make his mark but he definatley did,

RTD: New Doctor, New logo, new companions, new sonic, new daleks, new story arcs, new tardis, new monsters
Moffat: New Doctor, New logo, new companions, new sonic, new daleks, new story arcs, new tardis, new monsters

They both did exacly the same when they became head writer/exec producer.

But RTD had to completely revive the show. Moffat only had to carry on with what RTD had done. He didn't need to revamp everything.
