Yes, but if you revive a show, you want it to be how people remember it.

Thay's entitled to an opinion. I partially agree. I enjoyed Series 5 a lot, but Series 6 Part 1's been so confusing it's unbelievable. Moffat's a great writer and plans things nicely, but I liked the light, bouncy episodes that RTD did, and they were straightforward enough. Neither Series 5 nor 6P1 have been as good as Series 3 or 4 IMO, but Series 5 does come close.

How about keeping your nose out?

Anyway, I'd like you to read my PM MJF, and reply please.

Did you not just see that list Bolt posted? That shows how many things the Moff revamped.

Sorry, I was looking out for a mate, who I've known online for about 3 and a half years, will be 4 in November time.

And yes, GD, no need to double post. Moffat revamped the SAME things, but he didn't need to.

So you are telling me if you were put in-charge of a TV show you wouldn't make it personalised? and change it?

Yes, but I wouldn't feel the need to redesign EVERYTHING when there were perfectly good things in place anyway.

But he wanted to. That's the main thing, which makes him better than RTD.

RTD only did it because he HAD to.

MJF, I'm just gonna report you, because what you're saying is seen to cause an argument. I don't want to argue with you.

RTD could have kept the old logo if he wished. Or the old Sonic design. Why didn't he? Cause he wanted to change it. Just cause Moffat was given the choice when RTD wasn't doesn't mean he's better than RTD.

I'm no trying to cause an argument, please don't say I am.

This is certainly no argument more than it is a debate guys (GD).

Yes RTD changed a lot but he had to change it for a new audience and new genrations of kids/teens/adults at the same time. 1987-2005 is a long time, just under 20 years. A lot's happened in that time. New kind of television, acting, technology in day to day life, all this had to be considered and changed.

Wheras Moffat was taking over a show that was doing perfectly good and decided to change the Doctor (Well, that's DT's fault really, I remember thinking he'd stay for one more series), Tardis (Inside and out), Sonic Screwdriver, Daleks, then in a story he rewrote the whole Whoniverse almost...

If it ain't broke don't fix it?

I understand the clean slate thing, but if DW was any less popular, all this change at once could well have killed it off, as I know dozens of people, literally, who don't prefer the show now to 2-3 years ago even.
