Of course, what do you think that hand was doing on his chair?

Seriously though i've just tried this and its definitely possible but its a bit annoying. You have to pop his head off, then very carefully take the backplate off it and then unscrew a screw to get to the compartment. It seems like the batteries have to have a specific amount of pressure on them to make proper contact, it took some screwing and unscrewing to get the eyes to go full brightness again.

Weirdly specific question, but does anyone have the Silent that they specifically got in the B&M set on this page?
http://www.doctorwhotoys.net/bandmsets.htm

The reason I ask is that there's some variation in hand sculpts on the figures of the Silence. The single carded cream releases and the single carded grey releases that don't come with the lightning effects have thicker fingers, whereas the lightning effect ones have thinner fingers, presumably to fit the lightning. I was just curious as to what the hands were like on this re-release, whether they went back to the old hand mould or stuck with the thin lightning fingers.

There's also a grey silent in this box set:

So all the classic TARDISes are basically made from the same moulds - which TARDIS was the "classic" TARDIS mould based on? For some reason I'm thinking 5th Doctor but honestly I have no idea.

It was originally sculpted as a 4th Doctor TARDIS, then modifications were made to make it less specific, which mostly meant adding more 5th Doctor details. In truth, it's not based on any one TARDIS.

I thought it was sculpted to be the fifth doctor's tardis then modified from there.
