That was most certainly the plan. But very rarely would these plans come to anything.

Yes, that was a nice little extra that.
Those Cartmell ideas aren't too far removed from how Moffat operates now. Having a vision and a direction.

That was the plan, just glad it never happened.

That version of events is incompatible with our timeline so it can't have happened.

One of the few things you can thank Dimensions in Time for, Ace had not left yet.

In some distant parallel universe it is. But not ours, unless you intend to go back and prevent the cancellation of Doctor Who, but you'll be able to prevent the bits you don't like as well.

I often thought of going back and showing someone Trial of a Time lord

Your only problem is that was Robert Holmes' last piece of work. With any other writer it would have been far worse (and you can really tell it with the final two episodes which were made after his death and he had only produced the first draft of episode 13 and an outlien for 14).

Maybe you could save him, and let him live long enough to help that stories final two episodes at the very least.

I remember my Mum saying the fans won't like all the interruptions (going back to the courtroom). I did not like Mindwarp, just didn't like how the Doctor treated Peri even if he was hypnotised or whatever. And Peri's departure was fine until they said she got married at the end. I did like Terror of the Vervoids and the Ultimate Foe, I thought The Master was very good in it.
