As Moffat has said there should be more than one Anniversary story. I think past Doctors could show up over a few specials and then the main one come together.

And going by Matt Smith's comments his fourth series may come in just before the anniversary (or morel ikely it could clash with it) so the y could potentially divide it up over the course of the series as a whole, Steven Moffat has noted the anniversary is on a Saturday.

The anniversary is exactly 50 years since it started. Saturday 23rd November 2013.

They've never stuck to that though, with previous celebrations, the anniversary is considered the time between the real "X9th anniversary" and the real "Y0th anniversary", for instance The Three Doctors was part of the tenth anniversary celebrations but it was definetly a lot closer to the ninth anniversary.

I think it would be short sited not to have some celebrations exactly 50 years since the show started. Not many shows have their anniversay exactly 50 years to the day. They should show at 5.30pm Unearthly Child.

I'm sure they will, but it will be the big finale to the celebrations, just like The Five Doctors was after Series 20.

That is exactly how it should be, but I hope unlike last time with the Five Doctors when the US got to see it two days before us we get to see it first or its broadcast in the States the same day.

The group that did it got into a spot of bother if I remember rightly. After that though first broadcast has come to the UK first with only two other excpetions, Silver Nemesis Parts Two and Three were broadcasted in New Zealand early as part of the 25th anniversary celebration and Canada got the Movie first because it was filmed there.

Given recent broadcasting agreements the US will get broadcast on the same day, but not simulcasting (because they wouldn't get adverts and they couldn't afford that) but ABC in Australia have shown they are able to broadcast Doctor Who at the same time as in the UK and the BBC are perfectly happy for them to do this due to their long standing partnership with broadcasting goign back decades, the only problem is it would be about 2am on Sunday morning in Australia so it would really need to be an exceptionaly circumstance to allow ti to happen and the 50th anniversary seems a perfect reason for it.

I think that Inferno special edition may have a tribute to Caroline John as Ambassadors of Death has been completed.

Very sad, indeed. I shall be watching Spearhead From Space (?) to remember her by.
