I was thinking that, the way the black interacted with the shine bothered me. I suppose I must have seen this image before too.

I believe you may be referencing the 1975 Denys Fisher War of the Daleks board game. The board itself features a dalek with an orange dome and hemis, plus a silver skirt. The actual game pieces themselves were red/silver and blue/gold.

Well, it's literally sitting on a chair 3 feet away from me. :D
I bought a copy on eBay a couple of months ago but didn't reckon on the box being so friggin' massive, so it won't fit on any of my shelves. Still trying to work out some way to display it.
