I actually just noticed (despite having seen this several times before) what you use to build the set! Fantastic use of computer spares, worthy of classic Doctor Who itself!

Absolutely fantastic!

Love your repainted, dirtied down, Tardis, it looks much better like that!

Thanks for the support guys. Tomfan, I felt that after the 1st Dr's Tardis being painted so well, that the 4th Dr's Tardis just looked like a plastic toy, so I repainted it, then I bought another one and repainted that, then I bought another one, and then I went broke, so I left that one as is.

LOL!

I picked up a McCoy Tardis for next to nothing on eBay recently, and so I'm going to have a go repainting that one, as it's always looked a bit too bright to me.

Wow, Amazing Dioramas they all look Awesome in there own way ...I really like those Tardis repaints as well, that is a big improvement they look Fantastic 8-) (it is surprising how much of a differance just a repaint can make sometimes )

well done Velvetcoat :)

Well I had a very busy year last year and that, coupled with a few construction set backs, meant that I didn't end up producing much work. I have actually been working on another Diorama, this one showcasing my Barry Newberry Tardis variant. As with my first Diorama, I've gone in favour of the most exotic location I could find for that particular version of Tardis.

I've chosen one of Barry Newberry's own sets; Titan Base from "The Invisible Enemy". It's a great set, with loads of atmosphere, thanks to the mix of rock, pre-fab and metal, and the over-head, heavy rigging, gantries and piping. It's expansive too, with its corridors, silos and rooms, all adding to the encompassing feel of this set.

These photos are a sneak peek, some quick 'n' dirty mock-ups I've taken to help myself work out spacial relationships and the placement of various elements. I haven't really done much more than plan the back wall so it's just a lash together at the moment. The rest is well underway; base-coated and ready for painting. I'll post some screen grabs and then my own shots to give an approximation of what the final shots will look like.
