Problem with Revelation of the Daleks DVD

Postby theseventhdoctor7777 » Wed Sep 21, 2011 9:01 pm

Ok, so there's a scene exactly 8:02 into the first part which is nothing more than two people walking down a corridor. On my laptop, the DVD gets to 8:10, and then goes back to 8:02. I thought this was just my laptop. So, I went downstairs, and tried it on the DVD player. Did the same thing. Then my Nan's computer. Then my Dad's computer. I try to skip past it, but it own't let me. I press that button, but it just goes back to the same scene. What's odd is that the DVD is brand new. My friend owed me a secret santa present from last year, and today he gave me Revelation, Remembrance, Resurrection and The Mind Robber. All of them brand new. Anyone got any ideas?

That happened with me too, on a portable DVD player. It works on all other players, apart from that one. I think it's just a manufacturing error. Try it on a completely different brand of DVD player, or something like that, or just use the scene selection and skip that chapter.

Yes, this fault was spotted soon after release and exists on most of the DVDs. If you contact them directly they can send you a corrected version as they can with most DVDs with production faults (The Invisible Enemy is another one where two brief scens are the wrong way round which would not be noticeable if it was not for the fact the "first" one of them is the cliffhanger and has the closing theme's "sting" in it).
