I like the 11th Doctor and I think it's important to seperate the actor from the character, although many actors have much of themselves in the parts they play it's not fair to associate the two. As an example look at Colin Baker, he is a fine fellow yet his Doctor at the begining of his period as the Doctor was hampered by the scripts, not being allowed to have any say in character developement or even his costume, yet his Doctor is excellent in the audio dramas. McCoy's first season was also tainted by bad scripts and character developement in which he had little say....and yet McCoy's 2nd and 3rd season showed great strides in the Doctor's 7th persona.
For me the 11th Doctor is still a work in progress...he is very Troughtonesque having a social akwardness and naivety, hidden wisdom and vast knowledge, a young face and body but with old eyes and an older soul. I like him very much indeed, makes a change from Tennent who turned into a stereotype of his own character with catchphrases every 5 minutes and swingin from excited schoolboy to 'I have the world on my shoulders' to avenging all powerful timelord. Again not Tennant's fault but laziness from writers, he quickly found his way into the bottom of my favourite Doctor's list because of that.
