The Impossible Astronaut

Postby BAXI 3719 » Tue Apr 05, 2011 3:56 am

Four envelopes, numbered 2, 3 and 4, each containing a date, time and map reference, unsigned, but TARDIS blue. Who sent them? And who received the missing number one? This strange summons reunites the Doctor, Amy, Rory and River Song in the middle of the Utah desert and unveils a terrible secret the Doctor’s friends must never reveal to him.

Placing his life entirely in their hands, the Doctor agrees to search for the recipient of the fourth envelope – just who is Canton Everett Delaware the Third? And what is the relevance of their only other clue: ‘Space 1969′? Their quest lands them – quite literally – in the Oval Office, where they are enlisted by President Nixon himself to assist enigmatic former-FBI agent Canton, in saving a terrified little girl from a mysterious spaceman.

Great episode, but (spoiler alert) I found the pregnancy storyline a bit predictive
Last film watched: Bruce Almighty (2003), The Fighter (2010), Titanic (1997), Winnie the Pooh (2011), Transformers (2007), The Dark Knight Rises (2012), Star Trek Into Darkness (2013), Skyfall (2012)

Guys I love Doctor Who and really like Matt as the Doc, but I really thought that episode was +::(ñ (sounds like: bit). I prefer the classics to be honest but I still really like nu who. I was sitting there watching and waiting for the story to start; I just thought that there was to much time waiste fillers and it got boring. The Doc gets shot and dies; really? What was the point as we know if does not die. So what is the point of doing that. Sorry if I sound really bad but I have ideas for stories that would make you be on the edge of your seat.
