Companion set idea tweeted by UT

I think a "12 Companions" Set is a great idea. One companion for each of the 12 Doctors.

The only Doctor I'd say would be tricky to put out a new companion for... would be Christopher Eccleston's 9th Doctor. The only companion of his that never got a toy was Adam.

Here's who I'd love to see get made:

I think for practical reasons we'll have to assume that the set will contain a lot of tweaked re-releases, it's the only real way of keeping costs down. So we'll probably see another Peri, Leela, Rose and Amy, and hopefully the upcoming Jo and Jamie in the set. Like you mentioned before, if the aim is to be similar to the 11 Doctors set we might only end up with a couple of new figures at most, maybe as with the 8th Doctor, Grace could be the set exclusive possibly in her ball gown (which couple actually be made with a a bit of tweaking and repaiting of Idris's body)

But even then Rose would be with the Tenth Doctor, which leaves the Ninth Doctor without a companion because they wouldn't go anywhere near that original sculpt.

The new series companions are likely to be the ones that would attract in interest from newer fans so giving re-releases might cause bother, with the Eleven Doctors set at least you could assume that people would be getting it for the older Doctors regardless of their age but with this, the newer companions will likely be the attraction rather than the older ones for most younger fans. Not assuming that they wouldn't get it for the older ones, it's just those would be the ones that would interest them the most so putting the young fans off the new comapnions will cause problems.

Although if this does end up coming out in 2013 chances are we will have the Rory and it will be a generic sculpt so a re-paint would be an option there.

They Could approach Billie Piper and ask her if they would be allowed to make a new figure with a better face sculpt because let's be honest, the old ones were awful, but CO had just started, now most companion figures, are amazingly screen accurate in face details, so they could make some sort of prototype design to show her and see if she liked it.

Also considering that 9th and 10th era's will fall into the classics range now, we could end up with a few new Rose's, if she does allow a new figure to be made.
