What is... this?

I got this... thing a while ago off eBay and I have no idea what it is. I got it for a Dalek photo-comic as it looked like a good alien beastie. It's not vital that I can identify this, but it would be interesting to know its origins.
Underneath the head it says (c) 2007 MARVEL, but all that tells me is that it's from a comic.

That is a Brood! An alien like creature from the X-Men. They lay eggs in hosts and as the eggs hatch they take over the host.



There is a Brood Queen... they have a society like the Aliens from Alien.

No problem! That's the diamond Marvel Select version of a Brood... there was a Brood Queen BAF in the Marvel Legends line. A nice figure both of them!
