I'm amazed at how much of the damage I've managed to repair. Really only 7 figures are complete goners, and they're all ones with wire in the legs where it fragmented to hell when they got crushed. The rest will no longer be perfect and have obvious cracks and traces of glue if you look close enough (especially around the ankles), but after crawling over the carpet and picking up every single chunk and tiny broken-off finger, I've pieced back together *39* of them... even if several are now listing suspiciously to the left.
I spent the weekend taking down every single figure, and then replacing all the hanging shelves with billy bookcases from Ikea. They're a little deeper than is ideal for showing off figures, but I'm cutting up the old hanging shelves out in the garage to make a tier system so I can display multiple rows of figures on a single shelf and still have them be visible. There's quite a bit of work left to be done until I'll have my workspace back, but trying to put a positive on a bad situation, I was pretty well maxed out on shelf space before the collapse happened, and this configuration should give me a little more room for future customs once it's all completed.
I'm also pleased that the TV Movie TARDIS fits on standard depth shelf without too much overhang. I managed to line up the bottom row with my work table, so the little bit that hangs out should be supported, and hopefully won't break if anything bumps into it or the cat decides to go exploring.
