In the Series 4 episode Midnight, I think the Monster Could have been something to do with the silence. Comment on your thoughts :D

It was a story by RTD, the monster had no connection to the Silence, at least at the time. It wouldn't be out of the question for Moffat to go back over the plot point but it is unlikely.

It was brilliant! Tense, scary and enjoyable with a great storyline and brilliant acting. :)

It was boring and dragged a lot, best part was Rose going "Doctor."

One of the best stories from this series. 'Lift/Elevator' dramas as they are often referred to can bring out the best performances in an actor because of the limitations. It drummed-up a fantastic claustrophobic atmosphere with the dialogue and action that built up tension you'd have needed a chainsaw to cut through it, and this story delivered it beautifully.
Ridley Scott used this technique for his claustrophobic 'haunted house in space' with nowhere to go and an 'unseen' menace in Alien.
9 out of 10.

I really like Midnight, probably a highlight of the 2008 stories! Yes it was cheap but it was really effective and creepy!
