The Paradigm daleks looked a bit too different when I first saw them, but they've definantly grown on me.
But I also liked the RTD Daleks, particularly Dalek Sec and the Supreme (S4)

So it'd have to be between Paradigm/RTD

I'll go back to the same argument Mark Gatiss used, they are Daleks not glamour models.

They are not aesthetically pleasing, TED... they are an afront to Dalek lovers everywhere. They are diet Irn Bru... an abomination!

..diet IrnBru... an abomination.. Excellent.
I was trying to explain what IrnBru was to some Ozzys in a Chinese bar last night. I don't think I succeeded.

Just tell them it's made in Scotland, from girders

I gave up explaining it to my other half... I just told her it's a golden coloured fizzy drink we are weaned on as kids :D

But the DAleks were never intended to be aesthetically pleasing. The first design was intended to be as alien and remote as was possible. So they've gone down that route again, going for something that nobody on Earth would dare to imagine let alone want to ever enjoy the look of.

But they were never intended to be beautiful. The design is very interesting and intriguing and alien, there are many words that could describe it, but beautiful is not one of them.

If you think a Dalek is beautiful I would seriously recomend getting your head checked, otherwise you might end up like Katy Manning.

The classic Dalek is a fusion of 60s SF design and practical considerations. That fusion has made the Dalek a design icon, in the same way that the Mini, Spitfire and Concorde are icons.
You don't become a design icon for being ugly and weird-looking.

(waits for inevitable witty retort)

No, you don't have an artistic soul TED... I'm so, so sorry :(

For me it has to be the MK2 Dalek invasion of earth daleks, to date the best dalek story ever made in my opinion, those daleks were big and they were scary. (and they weren't Blue/Red/Yellow/Orange or white)
I'm gone! How tragic. It's like i'm here but asleep, only i'm not, i'm gone. Well, i might pop back when bored. If you need me though, or want me you can find me at www.ImWithGeek.com
