TBH, a lot of the complaints I see are 'The Daleks are stupid!' 'River's annoying!' 'I hate Amy!' 'Moffat's a hack!'
On the first point, we haven't actually seen Moff's Daleks' do anything yet; they were restored, then buggered off to amass themselves. Outside their cameos TBB and TWoRS, we haven't seen them in a proper villain role; and while the designs are stupid, let's be honest here - some (emphasis on the some, before someone burns me) of the Classic Who designs were awful, and yet it was what they did that made them memorable.
As for the others, I can't really argue for or against them; it's really a matter of opinion and taste as to who enjoys what. At the end of the day, some people are gonna love Moffat's work and some people are gonna hate it - same with Russell's. But as long as we've got new adventures with our favourite Madman in a Box, I'm still going to watch.

Classic designs for monsters were constrained by a mix of budget, technology and time. They didn't have the modern latex rubbers, the animatronics and CGI for those creatures too expensive to realise in a solid form.

As for the Daleks... or rather Fatleks, the fan video "Dalek that Time Forgot" shows these Daleks in action, and they still look terrible. They can write the most amazing Dalek story ever, but if you spend the episode laughing your panties off at the way they look all semblence of terror, evil and cunning are lost.

There's considerable difference between the real thing and a fan animation.

Besides, as things were developing into the 80s newer methods of producing monsters were being used. Full animatronics were used on the Terileptils for instance. The monsters will naturally develop over time, both in design and how that design is achieved.

See what I can't stomach, is if anyone would pick up a book on film and television, he truly doesn't know what he's doing with Doctor Who. He can't tell a proper story when stretched out over time.
NOW... if you like it... fine, sure, whatever... one can't account for taste..

BUT my GOD... don't make excuses for him.
Don't worry... it's the end but the moment has been prepared for... you can still find me bashing the New 52 and other things comic book related at www.ImWithGeek.com

Then why don't you post the reasons you like it?
I personally hate it and have said why so if you disagree then at least post why.

Truth is, he isn't good at his job. In any other job - you get replaced. He needs to be replaced.

Can I ask what you like about them? Perhaps you like Matt as I have always been led to believe by your... constant fanboy nature. Which please don't think that's bad, more power to you there! We all have our favorite Doctors! Mine is Seven!

Seven.. when did she play the Doctor? I will have to go thru all my Voyagers again to find it. I remember Data playing Holmes and Picard playing Robin Hood, but never Seven playing the Doctor... Oh, you mean Sly, the seventh Doctor

He's Scottissh so he has to be all right in my book. And he did "Remembrance.." which will always rank as one of my favorite stories, and I do find myself quoting him more than any other Doctors, in particular " Predictable response". I use that in meetings when I hear a suck up response or a stupid one that avoids solving a problem. Beuty is, no one knows where I knicked the line from !!!
