Oh for the love of pete, KGF. I don't need to "outdo" someone's post. Ted's an anal retentive manchild and your incessent need to kiss bootay, specifically his, is sort of annoying. You're getting your little panties in a wad here about someone expressing their opinion. I don't like Moffat and because you bow down to him and kiss his shoes, don't sit there and insult me or suggest I'm trying to outdo someone's post. This isn't a competition. This is a message board where free exchange of ideas, opinions, and thoughts are encouraged. Or I once thought they were. Perhaps those who speak out against Moffat are in some way offending you, but again that's not my problem.

As a fan of the show I am well within my rights to defend my views, just as you are within your rights to defend your own. I've not said anything about how you view the show. I offer the flip side of the argument and if you can't handle that perhaps you should seek to express yourself elsewhere, around like minded folks who don't offend you. I'm sure Moffat can handle the criticism. I'm sure he's heard plenty. And him being the man he is, doesn't need you running to hold his hand or tell him how great he is. However if Mr. Moffat DOES on the offhand read the criticisms he's received I would like to believe he takes them to heart and perhaps finds in them some ideas or approaches he hasn't thought about. Rather than be completely anti-criticism the way you are. Contrary to what you might believe I don't HATE Moffat. I just don't LIKE his Doctor Who. Seriously.... stop taking things so personal.

And I do. Does it matter if I don't give a high school essay as to why?

Well I would hope you have some reason as to why... you don't really have to tell anyone but then again that's what this place is for.

Calling TED an "anal retentive man-child" is completely out of order, and out of context. But, I suppose that's maybe a phrase you Yankees use. As you impose, I do not have an incessant (at least I can spell it right) need to "suck up" to TED. There's a line of defence, and as such you were not treating him well so I defended him. That not allowed, no because that could lead to all sorts of accusations such as sucking up to them, or just generally being a pain to the offending party. But, fair do's.

At no point in this thread have I insulted you. That is a completely rash statement. This was a thread made by DWDVD explaining that not all blame for things that have happened in NuWho should be put to Steven Moffat, then suddenly we get yourself and others commenting about River Song, etc. Excuse me, but wasn't she present in RTD's era? Me doesn't think you were complaining there, or was that because she was used less, and was a mysterious, secondary character casting?

Of course this isn't a competition to see who can post the best messages here, or who can defend Steven Moffat the most (or maybe that's the way you're perceiving it), but everyone's opinion can be shared here, but what you must also acknowledge is the fact that not everybody is going to agree with your opinion, and that they are going to challenge them and oppose them in such a way that they could be coming across as mildly defensive of their party's argument, like you are just now, and like I am - and there is nothing wrong with that, but obviously some people can't stand the heat. The only thing we can say back to that is "Get outta the kitchen!"...

I find you a deeply offensive person ~:shopgirl:~. Your second paragraph is displaying very graphic mannerisms, and I don't like it. This shall be taken further so that we have a sensible head overlooking this thread, and so that there are no conflicts between us because I found your second paragraph rather insulting (and long... zzzz! - Van, you say I write long paragraphs!) so somebody to make a final judgement about the continuation of this debate/discussion/argument would probably be entirely appropriate.

I'm taking nothing personal. I am defending TED, and I am making an opposing challenge to ~:shopgirl:~'s post, because after all, this is a discussion forum, and replying to posts is naturally what you do.

'Emotional, uppity little kid' probably isn't the best description for me, by the way.

Yeah it is, you do nothing but whine and cry. Ted can defend himself, quite nicely as a matter of fact. He doesn't take stuff personally.Besides you're just using that as an excuse to be a snot. You're just a punk kid, nothing more. Another fan who is the reason why terrible Who is produced today.
God, another one who I hope he kept his receipt too!

Americans are good at comebacks, I'll give you that. Full of fire, too. ;)

Don't bother speaking if you're taking that tone, okay?

Gah shut up! Bored! Enough! Finite! Done!

Ok... So some people need to grow up a little and calm the hell down. KGF, please stop getting so irate about things, as you frequently say, it's all about opinions. As for defending TED, just stop. TED has never asked for help, he doesn't need it, he enjoys baiting VS just as VS enjoys winding him up, so let them play their game and just ignore it. If TED asks for a white knight to fight his corner then by all means ride in and joust with our American friend here, but until that time, leave it and avoid talking with VS because you clearly don't see eye to eye. VS and Shopgirl, same to you, just ignore KGF please.

If you can't all have a civilised discussion then perhaps you shouldn't be allowed opinions at all... How full would that be?

I don't want to hear any more on the subject from anyone, so I'm
Lockin this for a few hours, when I unlock it, back to sensible discussion about Moffat, and not you lot throwing your toys at each other.

Ok? Good.
