I think we all know deep down just why we haven't got it this year. They are saving it for the 50th. Same with The Ice Warriors. If one comes out in 2012 and two in 2013, then they will get The Reign of Terror out of the way before it.

Lets hope so TED. I know they are planning more stand alone specials like Vengeance.

Without them, there would only be about five releases in 2013, and even then only one of them could be guarenteed to be capable of being released.

The problem will always be the recolourisation. The Ambassadors of Death is all over the place and The Mind of Evil is going very well (but episode one has no chroma dots rendering the process impossible until another copy can be found).

It always makes you remember just how bad the wiping was. With the 60s there are episodes and whole stories missing but even though we've got the 70s safe, we still see the scars of those days.

Hopefully this technology should be able to fix the problems on most episodes, but The Mind of Evil Episode One will still be missing its colours and "Invasion" Episode One will still be missing its blue.

I know the wiping was terrible. But I know they will do their best on those stories.

What they also should do is a tie in with CO. Like Corgi did for the 40th anniversary, model Bessie with the DVD in a box set.

I said that a while back. A DVD / figure combo pack would be a great marketing gimmick.

It would be, except CO have a very poor coverage of the show, so many stories don't have a figure to go with them.

If they do say a special release next year, say Web of Fear or another missing classic, bring out an exclusive figure with that.
