Not sold at Tru, they are Wal-Mart Exclusives! And they are entirely SOLD OUT almost nationwide.

The Avengers movie figures are in TRU over here. The 6" scale versions. I had Hulk, Iron Man and Thor in my hands a week ago, but wanted all 4. So decided to go back later.

This is ebay, but this is the range I was looking at - down to the wallmart sticker.

They were in your Toys-R-Us? There's something wrong with that?

That doesn't matter. Wal-Mart has no dealing with TRU that I am aware. I'm so asking Hasbro about that!

I don't think you see Who in TRU outside the UK. We tried here in the states and we failed

Question is, who matches up to who?

I think:
Iron Man/Batman - (No superpowers/awesome suits of armour and gadgets)
Thor/Wonder Woman - Both Godlike and mythical
Hawk Eye/Green Arrow - Speaks for itself
Captain America/Superman - The All-American boys in blue
Hulk/?
Black Widow/?
Nick Fury/?
Maria Hill/?

Hey Van been a bit busy so haven't had a chance to chat about this months comics but I must say I actually really enjoyed them for the most part.

Detective Comics 9 was probably my favourite so far with it taking many key notes from the Arkham games; I know you hate that but personally I think it worked really well here. Just small things like the Asylum being on an island rather than connected to the city (I think it' s switched back and forth in the comics before though :? ), there's also the freeze grenades in there but that leads me to the problem that's still present from issue one and that's Daniels Bat voice so to speak. I don't think Batman would feel the need to mention his "Freeze grenades" at all and he just ends up saying to much. Instead of reading "My Freeze grenades will slow the Talons down. I can only hold them back for so long! Move it Doctor" I can better imagine him saying "I can't hold them back for long, Go!" because the freeze grenades can just get a brief mention in the inner monologue. Also in Batman issue one it's established that Arkham has already become the second Black Mask and that takes place before "The Night of the Owls" but during that night he is perfectly fine and has this interesting relation ship with the first Black Mask… so is this his origin or something? These writers need better communication.
Oh and the back up story=rubbish, nothing more to be said.

Batman 9 was as awesome as that friggen mech which has to get a figure at some point. Nice of them to include the Dinosaur as well, I was expecting them to top it all off by crushing one of them with the giant coin. Ultimately this issue didn't progress the story that much but it had enough action and fantastic art for me to not feel cheated by the end of it. That's another thing, we have another new Batmobile (Unless it's appeared in another book I don't read) and it's a vast improvement over the one used in Detective 1 and I believe it was in Batman and Robin at some stage.
Now this back up story I actually quite enjoyed although it hasn't really gone in to much depth yet I'm actually excited to see where it goes but in Detective with Dent wanting to be DA again...bull!

Anyway how did you enjoy this last month of books or not?

Arkham has always been an island after the huge Quake in Gotham in '97. God, Cataclysm was a good story... gave us No Man's Land and all that

Anyway, the Batman books have been boring, I don't like what they've done to the Circus, that was stupid.
