I expect the only ones that were nice were Paddy, Colin and Sylvie?

See, I just find that disgusting. So, which Doctors were actually nice?

Doctors, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9 (not heard anything to say he wasn't), 10 & 11.

William Hartnell could be troublesome, his anti-Jewish stance was very well known to his colleagues, it caused a few fall outs (particularly with Nicholas Courtney during The Daleks' Master Plan who was quite the activist against racism and the likes).

See, it's good with Matt Smith. Not a grumpy old guy who commands Karen and Arthur about. :/

Saw on a dvd that he always got on with Carole Ann Ford, despite the fact she was Jewish.

Folk could play up to the cameras, but I doubt that's the case.

Carole Ann Ford has always said they got on fine so I doubt she would be lying.

I think especially with people saying William Hartnell was racist, you have to think about the time, back in the day it was less frowned upon in general and people weren't as accepting as they mostly are now, and about Jon Pertwee being rude, from what I've heard he was alright, and you have to think that asking you to wait for the autograph sessions isn't too unreasonable, it was his job after all, but it doesn't seem like he went about it in the right way

This was at the point in time where it was starting to be frowned upon though, that's why we know he was racist. As I said before Nicholas Courtney was opposed to it and came into conflict with William Hartnell when he started bullying one of his fellow cast members (not Carol Ann Ford, this was during THe Daleks' Master Plan). ALthough the problem was never as bad in Britain as it was in other countries, we said a lot but did nothing, any attempts to do anything were generally met with hostility, there are plenty of stories of fights back during WW2 when American soldiers/agents would come over to Britain and refuse to drink in a pub as there was a black person there, so the regulars would beat the soldier/agent to a pulp. Makes you proud to be British.
