Re: Rackers96 - Custom New series DVD Slips
Finally I thought Ive done the rest of my doctor who dvds I might as well do these too
Re: Rackers96 - Custom New series DVD Slips
These are really nice, but I'm not into the font you've used for the titles at all, that's the only thing really letting them down.

I love your idea to use the colours assigned to the toys. Even now when I think of those early series the colour used on the figures springs to mind. I guess that's good marketing.
I used to make my own covers for my home recorded DVDs, stick the cases in a cardboard box with a custom image stuck on. I might take some pictures of them one day. Most of them are gone now as I've replaced them with the official DVDs.

there is something really off about it isnt there? I cant put my finger on what it is, its the same font as its supposed to be if not its as close as I can get, but I really cant tell what is off about it!!
Its been bugging me too
the numbers dont come out particularly well in the font... I dunno cant put my finger on it!
Re: Rackers96 - Custom New series DVD Slips
I don't know what font you're using, but it doesn't look like the right one, it should be "futura display". What you've got looks like someone made a font out of the 2010 logo, like look at the R.Rackers96 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2019 3:35 pmthere is something really off about it isnt there? Yeah I was going to say it looks like the 2010 font. I downloaded one called 'Matt Smith Doctor Who' looks just like it.

Re: Rackers96 - Custom New series DVD Slips
This one is just called doctor who so it very well probably is made from the logo
Re: Rackers96 - Custom New series DVD Slips
Here is a sample I made to illustrate the correct font, and for absolutely no other reason. Titles are in futura display, very pale cream colour (mine is a bit too saturated here) with a slightly offset black duplicate behind and a very slight beveling to the text. most of the rest of the text is conduit itc, I don't have the exact version, but the one I used there is a variant. Should be conduit ITC medium on the front for the "xyz years" and conduit itc light for the writer, blurb, and special features.
