He wasn't as much as that, the 3rd doctor two packs were only 25, Green Death was very very shortly after those, there's no way the price was higher at the same time for less stuff.Koth2 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 6:07 pmIf it was a case CO were offering 12 figures (one a month) plus a special figure at the end for £150.00 (thats £12.50 each plus the freebie) would you do it?
Given that the Green Death 3rd Doctor was £30.00 on initial release you could be getting hits more than misses.
The Collector’s Series

Re: The Collector’s Series
It was on a par so must have been £25. There was a reason why I didn't pay out for a single figure.

My guess is they'd have to charge more to make it work, but I'd still be down.Koth2 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 6:07 pmIf it was a case CO were offering 12 figures (one a month) plus a special figure at the end for £150.00 (thats £12.50 each plus the freebie) would you do it?

I wouldn't mind if it was £15 a month. That totals to £180, but shhhh. This year's B&M sets total to about £160.skifflebits wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 2:43 pmMy guess is they'd have to charge more to make it work, but I'd still be down.Koth2 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 6:07 pmIf it was a case CO were offering 12 figures (one a month) plus a special figure at the end for £150.00 (thats £12.50 each plus the freebie) would you do it?

They be dispersed with repaints.skifflebits wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 2:43 pmMy guess is they'd have to charge more to make it work, but I'd still be down.
The B&M figures in this wave total 14 for an expected cost of £160. You get 7 Doctors with that.

Indeed, I understand the economy of repaints, I just know these things don't start to turn a profit until they reach a certain scale.Koth2 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 5:44 pmThey be dispersed with repaints.skifflebits wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 2:43 pmMy guess is they'd have to charge more to make it work, but I'd still be down.

The TRU Doctor/Dalek sets of 2013 had runs of -- I heard -- about 6000 units. I don't know how many units B&M orders on these sets, but I imagine it's gotta be at least that, right?
So I'm guessing a subscription model wouldn't be profitable unless you had at least 6,000 subscribers, or if you started at a higher price point.
All speculation of course. What did Matty-collector charge for their MOTU figures during their subscription service?

I don't know about the MOTU. I've never heard of their subscription service.
As for Who isn't their run between 6000-8000 anyway.

If a subscription did happen what would we expect to receive in a year?
An equal balance of New and Classic Who figures?

Al Dewar, if you are reading this, please give me a job/ all variants of all figures you have ever produced (delete as applicable).
