The Eighth Doctor’s Timeline

Postby SarahJaneFan » Sun Apr 07, 2019 8:10 pm

This is the big one.

I’m still unsure myself of how I’d place it, particularly when it comes to the comics. I’m not sure whether they should go in the Three year gap early in the novels or after the novels.

The Audios go pretty safely after both the comics and novels however.

It’s something like:

The TV Movie
Sam Jones
Solo
Stacy and Ssard
Solo
Bernice Summerfield
Solo
Sam Jones
Sam and Fitz
Fitz and Compassion
Solo
Fitz and Anji
Fitz and Trix
Solo
Samson and Gemma
Mary
Samson and Gemma
Charley
Charley and C’rizz
Solo
Lucie
Solo
Tamsin
Molly
Molly/Liv
Liv
Liv and Helen
Liv, Helen, The Eleven
Solo
Josie Day
Solo
Sheena
Bliss
Solo
Night of the Doctor

With this coming at some point in a gap before the Audios begin:

Izzy
Izzy and Fey
Izzy
Izzy and Kroton
Izzy
Solo
Destrii

A few things:
Firstly the current timeline lacks all the stories with Charley and Crizz, as well as all of the DWM comics, which I tend to place prior to the Lucie stuff, but post-EDAs. Secondly, you missed Wolfsbane, which features 8 during his 100 years on Earth.

Other than that, pretty damn good.

Yeah I haven’t put it all in yet, that’s just the “can’t budge, this is definitely where these stories go” Stories.

Samson, Gemma, Mary, Charley, and C’rizz go before Lucie (obviously) and after Sam at least. I take that to mean as after the novels entirely as well because I don’t like inventing a non existent gap to shove them in. They’re also after the comics due to references in the stories.

The Comics are difficult to place in relation to the novels, but they definitely go before all of the audios. Tonally and narratively they probably work best at the beginning of Eight’s life, so that’d be in the Vampire Science gap, but there’s enough wiggle room for them to go later. And the way the comics end and the Audios begin connects up quite well continuity-wise.

Didn’t include Wolfsbane because it’s not part of the regular EDA. Purely because I reading off a list of actual EDAs and don’t intend to add the extra stuff in until later.

EDIT: Updated with Samson/Gemma/Mary/Charley/C’rizz era, and also Wolfsbane and Fear Itself, the two Eighth Doctor PDAs.
