Head Swap Advice

Post by canton the Fifth »

Hi all!

I'm planning on making a custom 8th doctor using the head which came with the War Doctor and the body of Nick Cutter/Ryan Sinclair. The head is plug-and-socket and the body is a peg. Does anyone have any advice on how to make them compatible?

Cheers :)

so the body is an inny and the head is also an inny? I imagine you'd probably need to make some sort of joining piece to go into the body at one end and the head at the other? I think the other way around would be much more hassle, getting an outy head onto an outy neck.

I've done both, and innie-to-innie is definitely the easier of the two. You just have to come up with a makeshift peg, and you can use just about anything.

The other way 'round involves cutting the peg off the head and using a drill to make a new hole. Not impossible, mind you, just a bit messier.

How about filling each hole with milliput, sticking a bit of wire into the lower one, and then place the head over it and wait for it dry...?
