I had a thought. I read that a major enemy was coming back to the new series. Mavic Chen was coming back! I went through all the usual questions: Who will play him, How does the Doctor meet him, Are the Daleks involved?

Then I hear that some work will be done on a couple of the old missing episode stories and I wasn't impressed. OK so we get two stories replaced as cartoons, which is good, but not the best...

Then I got to think what if they were to bring back David Bradley and remade The Daleks Masterplan in a live series? Could this be the 'enemy' series they are talking about?

So, seeing we're in an advertised spoiler thread...

While, yes, Davies did say verbatim that the words "Mavic Chen" will be broadcast for the first time since 1966, there's no confirmation the character is appearing/recast.

Sure, it could happen. But bear in mind, "The Master" and "The Valeyard" both are mentioned in spoken dialogue in Series 7, and neither bother to show up.

Reading another snippet on the web about the 60th Anniversary recolourisation still stumps me how can they recolour an incomplete story like 'The Smugglers?' OK the story was mentioned in another article, so maybe the two are not connected.
