Doctor Who on home video

Figured we could use one of these threads. Season 8 announced on blu-ray, and if you're not collecting these blu-ray sets, they're quite spectacular.

Now the Season 24 box set has been announced.

Between this one and "Trial," they've gotten the "less popular" seasons out of the way. :)

I’ve been filling in some gaps in my classic Who collection - I heard they were no longer doing the silver cases and sure enough a couple are in clearish plastic boxes instead. I can’t remember what the reason for this was - was it the silver cant be recycled, or has some chemical now frowned on, or just a cost cutting exercise?

I think it was an environmental thing.
