TV anoraks among you may also spot the reference behind the name of this album, it was a very deliberate choice. If you can work it out then Mother will be pleased.
I know the movie ‘Arsenic and Old Lace’..... but other than you can get Arsenal out of the letters I’m at a loss.....

Alas no. Think small screen and 1960s. To be fair if you've never watched the series you won't understand it.

Had to google it - now it makes sense..... on so many levels.....

“Major portions of an unaired episode entitled "The Great Great Britain Crime," produced by John Bryce in December 1967, along with bits and pieces of footage from a few Emma Peel episodes, were combined with newer framing material featuring Mother. The result? A train wreck. Possibly the worst (original) Avengers episode in existence”

Is 'The Daily Vortex' subtly suggesting that our latest album is "a train wreck"? Clom Music Press called it "a great use of recordings" and NME said "TCoS' leftovers are better than most bands singles!"

Incidentally I also enjoy the episode in question. I mean sure it's not the best, but it makes me laugh.

Absolutely not!! - not being subtle at all :D

I remember watching the re-runs many, many years ago - it was brilliant, nothing like it on TV at the time. I’ll have to got an revisit it (I see it is all available on BritBox) as I’m sure there is a whole level to it that went over my head as a young lad.
