A wee present for you all

Post by Lurker at the Edge »

So guys as a little thank you for all the kind words and purchases you've all made i thought id share something im trying to get finished for Xmas which once complete will be there for anyone that wants to on this forum to download ....

its a 3D printable model (to scale) of the secondary Console Room. Includes Three walls. Scanner wall, Steps and entrance, Side walls Console and Dias ... There are a LOT of parts and printing it might cost a small fortune (or a small mortgage) but the joy is you can use as much or as little of it as you want and its been an utterly crap year for everyone i think so this is for you all from me.

I must be clear .. this is from me personally .. its not CO and nothing to do with them purely one of my models up for you to use as you want. its not anything thats going to be commercially released just a bit of fun and joviality for Christmas.

Anyway its still in progress but im hoping to have the last Wall and scanner section complete in the next week or so then its upto you guys what you want to do with it ... Obviously its for you on this forum but its no big deal if it gets picked up by others so spread the wealth.. lots of support from everywhere this year ...here's some WIP images ...details are not final

The console has 6 panels that can be arranged open or shut plus some extra gubbins in the Console stem ...

I will convert everything to STL format and then put a WeTransfer link on this Thread that will be operational for 7 days ...

WOO-HOO! Al, you're the greatest!

I hope you know the goodness you bring just by visiting these forums and talking to us like we're (mostly) decent people. (I'm not, but most everyone else is.) This is a particularly fantastic gesture. Thanks!

Wow, just wow.

This product line, this forum, and Al really are the exception to what has mostly been 2020. Just overall goodness. :)

Thanks (again) Al.

Hi guys

Very nice words .. for those that cant or dont want to print all the wall there are corner pillars so one option is to create or make your own cardboard walls and perhaps just print the console and entranceway ....

I will try and post an image of the whole thing but the complete model is huge! As you might imagine so getting everything into once scene is tricky ...

Also as people like shapeways cost a good bit of money it may be worth one or two of you clubbing together as there might be a discount available for a number of sets ...
